Cal. 44 CF. S# 88. Half rnd., half oct. 30.25" bbl. w/ combination globe level front sight. Round body iron two trigger action w/ tall vernier tang sight. Straight grip walnut stock w/ replacement checkered alloy buttplate having brass base for vernier sight to allow silhouette shooting. CONDITION: good appearing original blue mixing with brown patina showing peppery oxidation, action wear & scratches. Action has traces of blue with balance brown/gray patina showing sm. marks. Lightly sanded & refinished wood shows plug repair near buttplate tang base showing missing triggerguard swivel & sm. dings. Very good strong rifling. PROVENANCE: Estate of Groves Herrick.
